From where do people visit this church?
Grace Lutheran Church is located at 1123 Louisiana Avenue on the west side of St. Cloud with St. Cloud Hospital, McDonald’s and Pizza Hut as our closest neighbors. Individuals and families attend from St. Cloud, and nearby communities including Kissimmee, Kindred, Harmony and Lake Nona. Grace Lutheran has been in St. Cloud for many years and thus has attracted and continues to attract people of all ages.
What time are your worship services? What are they like?
Classic worship with historic liturgy and hymns old and new is offered every Sunday morning at 8:45 and 11 a.m. We have just started offering a service with contemporary songs at 10 a.m. on first and third Sundays with a view to offering it every week in the future.
We were one of the first churches in St. Cloud to offer a Spanish Service and after a long hiatus (prior pastor retired) we are offering Spanish services again. They are led by Pastor Wilfredo Ramirez a former Baptist pastor who is now credentialed as a Lutheran pastor. The Spanish service is at 2:30pm to bless our Spanish speaking neighbors.
We are Christians who affirm the Bible is God’s Word and most importantly we preach that the central message is the God loves and forgives because of the death and resurrection of Jesus.
What should I expect on my first visit? How should I dress? Where do I park?
You can expect a welcome that is genuine and warm. Most Florida people are a bit more casual but people attend in a variety of attire, from casual clothing to more traditional Sunday dress on festive days like Easter and Christms. We encourage you to come as you are.
There is parking on site (on the grass-it’s a Florida thing) with handicap parking in front of the church.
Is your church accessible for individuals with disabilities?
Yes. We are wheelchair accessible including restrooms but feel free to contact the church office at (407) 892-4653 with any specific accessibility questions or needs.
Do I need to be Lutheran to attend? What if I have never attended a church before?
Everyone is welcome to attend worship services, Bible studies, events, and community activities regardless of church background. Our services are projected to make it easy for a first-time visitor to follow along and participate.
Our Pastor loves helping people make a new beginning. If you are coming back to church after a long absence or never been he would love to meet you.

What is Grace Lutheran Church's mission or purpose?
The mission of this congregation is the Great Commission of Jesus that we have casted into 3 main points:
1 To connect people of Jesus.
2. To teach people about His love
3. To empower Christians to love as Christians
What message will I hear in a Lutheran sermon?
You will hear the joyous good news that when we could not reach heaven or obtain God’s favor by our actions, God loved and sent Jesus to be our Savior. Every Sunday our pastor as well as our service seeks to plant that wonderful love of God deep in the heart of every person
What do the Lutherans believe about Jesus and the Trinity
We confess out loud and boldly every Sunday one of 3 creeds (Apostles and Nicene being primary) used from the earliest days that affirm Jesus is the Son of God (and God) and the Trinity. False religions and cults teach differently and wrongly.
Can I get my baby or child baptized? Can I, an adult, be baptized?
Yes! Baptism is a gift from God through which He works faith, grants forgiveness, and welcomes people into His family and we baptize people of all ages. We baptize adults upon their confession of Jesus as Savior and babies of Christian parents who pledge to raise them up in the Christian faith. Is Holy Communion offered at this church?
Is Holy Communion offered at this church? While Roman Catholics call it the Mass, we prefer to call it Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper. Historically, the best practice is to offer it every Sunday and we at both of our classic worship services (8:45 and 11). We will move in the near future to offer communion at our new contemporary service at 10:00 am and new Spanish Service at 2:30.
Can I take communion at this church?
We believe the Bible affirms than it is much more than a mere symbol. Our pastor is very eager to have you join us at the Lord’s Supper. If you come from non-Lutheran background or are otherwise unsure of what communion is, he would offer friendly conversation and discussions that would move you to participate with proper understanding. He would love to see you at the Lord’s Table as soon as possible.as possible. Please call or email him.
What do you offer for children and youth?
In a church of our present size children and youth are welcome at worship. In the middle of the service, we offer a kids mini-Bible story video or a short message from our Pastor. Then some of the youngest (ages 3 to grace 2) go to Sunday School where a trained preschool teacher teaches a Bible lesson with a craft or activity. Other parents desire their children to be with them for the rest of the worship hour.
Youth often play a part in our church by lighting the candles, carrying in the cross or reading the Scriptures. Pastor seeks to preach with use of stories and short video clips to bless the youth as well as all ages. Youth in this size family are cared for by adults who show interest in them and inquire about school, sports and other activities. Youth participate in several of our outreaches to the community.

Do you offer Bible studies?
Yes. We provide adult Bible studies. Presently we are offering Wednesday morning at 10:00 am and 6:30 pm on Wednesday evening. Our offerings will continue to expand.
Do you support missions?
Yes. Grace Lutheran Church supports local and global mission efforts focused on sharing the Gospel and serving those in need. We have members active in local food pantry and other social needs meeting ministry. We love to donate money, food and gifts for various causes. We support the Christmas Shoe Box and we support an orphanage in Vietnam among the many practical ways we share God’s love. Globally we support trained Lutheran missionaries and students training to be Lutheran pastors or teachers.
Do you have services in Spanish?
Yes. Grace Lutheran Church is blessed to support Spanish-language ministry through Iglesia de Gracia. Spanish Service is at 2:30 with Pastor Ramirez. He comes to us from the Baptist tradition and has embraced the Lutheran view. We feel he understands Christians other than Lutheran and relates to them well.

Does Grace provide day care, pre-school, orgrade school
Grace does offer daycare, infant care, preschool and after school care as well as a preschool. We do not offer grade school at this time.
