Pastor John Hohe comes to us from having served 17 years in Powell (near Columbus), Ohio. His ministry and service to the church has been marked by helping people connect or reconnect with God. He has influenced the three prior churches that he has served to see themselves as “welcoming centers” where new friendships can be made. He initiated a “Intentional Friendship Center” for immigrants at his prior church in Powell. There they began ESL classes as well as citizenship classes.
Pastor throughout his ministry has been involved in the community through umpiring boys’ school and travel baseball and officiating girls’ school volleyball. He has been active with the anti-trafficking cause and has presented on that topic both inside his church body and in the prior community near Columbus, OH. He loves professional baseball, football, and hockey.
Born in Elmhurst IL, he was raised in Glen Ellyn Illinois. He met Nancy while serving an internship at a Lutheran church in Upper St. Clair, PA. They married a year later then went to their first church in Terryville, CT. Later he served at a church in Canton, Massachusetts and at a church in Powell Ohio. They have four adult children. Pastor, his wife Nancy and adult daughter Gretchen are making their home in St. Cloud.
He loves meeting people and looks forward to meeting you. Please consider meeting him on a Sunday morning. He leads worship and preaches about God’s perfect love for us imperfect people every Sunday at our 8:45 & 11:00 services.
